Resolutions

I am the type of person who usually makes a hefty list of New Year's Resolutions. A lot of them tend to be the same year after year. This year I have not sat down and wrote out a list. I didn't want to write down the same things and quickly forget about them. Now, I don't always forget about them... but I wanted to do things differently this year. I've seen on some blogs of friends and family that they have chosen a word for their year - and I think that is such a fun idea! So I've been thinking about what word I could use to represent ALL of my New Year's Resolutions. One word that could encompass everything I want to accomplish this year. And yesterday it came to me. BALANCE. That's my own personal word for the year. To find greater balance in my life in so many areas. I found this quote from President James E. Faust and loved it:

Balance in large measure is knowing the things that can be changed, putting them in proper perspective, and recognizing the things that will not change. And balance also lies in attitude. May our attitude be one of achieving balance and wisdom and understanding in all that we do.

Here's to a great (well-balanced) year!

I saw this on Rylie's blog and have been thinking about it too. Balance is such an elusive but worthy goal! You and Rylie are so deep...Now I have to come up with something really profound:). We really should go see Leap Year! We could go tuesday after YW if you want? If that doesn't work let me know when and I'll be there!

You are incredible. Good word. I had of a word for our family for this year, but I can't explain it properly. I started a post about it even, but got frustrated halfway through. I think the "word" I really need is "Editor".
