You would think...

... that I would blog more in the winter since we are inside most of the time! Miles is now completely potty-trained - even at night. Which is awesome. It really only took one whole week of me taking him to the bathroom every two hours and giving him stickers and a potty treat every time he went. Once he had 3 dry days in a row I took him out and bought him a new train for his train track. I think he's been the easiest one to potty train so far. He's only had 2 or 3 accidents in the last few weeks. Love it! This boy loves his trains!! He has a birthday coming up next month and wants a blue Thomas cake with a moving Thomas on it. Wish me luck with that one. It also must be documented that Miles has been a mama's boy lately... and I am just enjoying every second of it while it lasts.
Wesley had his 4 month check up today and weighed in at 17 pounds. Funny thing - the nurse told me he weighed 16 pounds and 16 ounces! Hee hee. Maybe she was having a long day? He is in the 50-70 percentile all around. What's really funny is that Miles weighed 17 pounds and 9 ounces at his one year check-up! Wesley is wearing clothes that Miles was wearing at 9 months - 1 year. Wesley has a cold and a bit of an ear infection but he hasn't been acting too sick - he's just so happy most of the time. He's getting his first taste of baby food tonight so you can look forward to a post all about that. I know exciting, right?
Such a sweet boy! He is l.o.v.i.n.g this bouncy-saucer lately.
Miles still loves Wesley so much... it will be interesting to see what happens in a few more months when Wesley starts wanting to play with Miles' toys.
and one of the boys
We are having a good winter, only one more full month of it! We've gone sledding a few times and just got a membership to the YMCA which we are excited for. Brian has applied to 7 different schools and we are waiting to hear back who he'll be doing interviews with (he had one phone interview already). It is exciting that we will know where we are moving this summer in just a few months! We are trying to be patient about all that. :)

Life with BOYS.

In 5 short years I've gone from being home with two little girls to being home with two little boys. I used to spend lots of my day playing dress-up and princesses and baby dolls. Now it is mostly filled with trains, cars, pirates, dinosaurs and more trains (well occasionally we still play with ponies and princesses!) I just love spending my day with these two sweet little guys. They make every day an adventure. On this day I was trying to get some pictures of Wesley (who only wanted to suck on his chubby little arm) and Miles decided to jump in. I'm so glad he did!

It's been a good year (so far!)

2011 has started out wonderfully. We had a randomly awesome warm (47 degrees) Saturday with no snow so we headed to the park as a family.

Brian getting some exercise - kidding - he's just being dorky and making us all laugh.
This is Nora's version of matching... yep - she wore this to school. Love it.
Daddy and Miles playing ponies :) Doesn't Miles look so cute in his Christmas outfit? He wouldn't let me take any pictures of him in it so this is the best I got.
Several times a day Miles will snuggle up to Wes and say, "Mom - take a picture of this!"

I think they'll be sharing clothes in no time!
The girls still love holding Wesley - except when he spits up or poops on them.
Oh yes, and potty training has begun. My least favorite parenting job. Yuck. But he'll be three next month so it's time. He is so obsessed with Thomas the Train right now so when he's all potty trained he gets a new engine for his train table.
