Summer Trip Part 1: South Dakota

We left for our big summer trip on June 16th. Our goal was to make it to South Dakota, 11 1/2 hours away. Pretty lofty goal when you are traveling with 5 kids. But we made it with about 10 minutes of daylight to put up our new tent! We really like Mt. Rushmore, it is pretty amazing and the country is beautiful to drive through.
 On our way!
Wesley loves using tape and paper so this entertained him a nice, long time.
Poor Sullivan didn't love the car too much. But overall he did great for being in the car so long!
At a rest stop somewhere along the way.
My morning view was pretty sweet.
 Happy camper Wesley
I love cool camping mornings. Although I actually froze this night and slept on the hard ground, which was ridiculous. Why did I think that would be okay? We bought an air mattress before bedtime again.

Our new pop-up tent is awesome.

My home boys

Wesley, Sullivan and I had some fun times just us three. Wesley will start 4k in the fall so I really wanted to make sure I enjoyed being with him all day before the school kids were home again! I love these cute boys.

Last day of school - HELLO SUMMER!!

Walking baby and baking girls.

The girls making some pumpkin pasties for a birthday party.

At exactly his nine month birthday Sullivan took a few wobbly steps. Sophie loved bribing him to walk to her with snacks! Food is always a big motivator!

Cute diaper baby.
Scooter thinks anytime someone is talking baby talk to Sully that they are talking to him. Or he just wishes they were. Silly dog.

Easter

I am finally catching up on this here blog. The reason I am so behind is all because of Chatbooks! But I am not ready to throw in the towel yet so I am hoping to do better.  So... Easter!

Easter was lovely and the weather fabulous! Such a perfect time of year to celebrate new beginnings and the resurrection of our Savior. I love Easter time!
