How time flies!

I can't believe Miles is 9 months old (on the 16th of this month) He is such a sweet little guy. Here is what we know about Miles so far:
1. He is an easygoing kid and happy most of the time.
2. He loves wheels and anything with hinges that can open or close!
3. He likes to watch Sophie and Nora being silly - it makes him laugh. But he will often put up a fight when they try to hold him..... he's also a fast learner :)
4. He is very persistent. I've been trying to let him "cry it out" at night so he'll sleep better - 0kay, so I'll sleep better! He is still waking 2-3 times each night and I've learned he can cry for HOURS. So sad. And very frustrating. Any tips or advice would be appreciated. (The crying method has been put on hold until Brian is done with school for the semester.)
5. He's very curious about what's going on around him.
6. He has 3 teeth so far. Two on the bottom and one on top. His other top one is just starting to break through.
7. He loves to be moving. He is working on standing on his own and occasionally forgets he can't walk yet and will try it anyhow. He'll take a few steps before falling - but I wouldn't call it serious walking. I am anticipating that in the next month or so. We'll see. Maybe I'll start knocking him down so he won't learn to walk and stay my baby just a bit longer.
I have a feeling he looks like a total "phillips" in this picture.

8. He is starting to learn when he's being mischevious. When he's about to do something he shouldn't he often looks at me with a smile and laugh.
9. I love his hair. It's funny because I thought I'd be sad to miss out on all the cute bows and headbands that little girls get to wear. I didn't realize how fun it would be to cut Mile's hair!
10. He's very ticklish
11. His nickname is Bugga Bugga. We can often be heard singing, "Bugga Bugga Baby Boy - I love you!" or, "Heeeey Bugga Bugga!" I don't quite remember how it came about. I think I started calling him that soon after he was born and it kind of stuck.
He also loves to.....
Play with balls......
Empty out the kitchen cupboards.....
Climb the stairs......
Empty out the kitchen drawers....
and un-roll the toilet paper any chance he gets!

Miles has been such a perfect addition to our family and we are so blessed to have him in our home. We love our Bugga Bugga!

So cute! I know what you mean about wanting him to stay a baby longer. Hudson is my last and I keep telling him to quit growing. He isn't listening very well though.

Your not kidding that time flies. Boy is he growing. He is so Dang cute. Love the nickname. Wish I had other suggestions for the nighttime, but all that ever worked for us was the crying it out, though Camden was very similar in crying for HOURS on end. Not sure Nic and Brit loved us for that. I don't remember what exactly finally worked, or how long it took for him to finally shorten the time he cried for. I just remember it being long long nights. Camden is just so stubborn! Love the pics of all the things he loves to do, total boy! Ah memories. Crazy to think he'll be one soon. Your children are all so cute and it is so fun to be able to still see what you guys are up to so far away.

I can't believe he's already 9 months old! He looks like such a little man, though! He looks so mature!

I'm going to join you in knocking down Ava so she'll stay my baby longer too :). It's fun to hear he loves wheels, hinges, balls and figuring out how things work. Boys & Girls are so different. Tonight Owen was chasing Ava and she was totally screaming like a little girl.

The crying method is all I could ever do to get them to sleep throught he night. BUT, if that is not an option right now, maybe just pacify him as fast as you can... I know when Matilee was little. We needed something, because our other children were in school, and couldn't sleep with a screaming baby... we waited for Summer Break to let her cry it out. I knew she was going to be our last, and I let her sleep with us. She slept really well. By the time she was a year, she slept just fine in her own bed, and it didn't hurt her (or me) to have that extra time together. She doesn't seem to have any weird separation issues....it is all a personal choice, and what you (and your schedule) can handle...if it let's you sleep until Bryan's schedule can handle it, then maybe that is and option.

Sorry for the long post.

Wow, he is so stinkin cute! I love that little mischevious look he has. I'm in the same boat with Kameron, he wakes up like 2 or 3 times just about every night. And then when he decides to sleep for like 8 hours straight for some reason I don't go to bed till like 1 or 2am. It can be frustrating.

Miles (sorry, Bugga Bugga) you rock!!! Grampa John sure misses and loves you. Lexie Jason wouldn't sleep through the night either. I tried everything. The cry out wouldn't work so sometimes I would sleep by his crib with my hand up in the crib touching him. Or lay him on my chest in the recliner and sleep there. When he got older (yes it lasted for years) He would wake up and cry but I taught him to walk into our room and crawl in bed with me. Yes he slept with me almost every night but the crying finally stopped. He was such a cute little snuggle bug I actually missed it when he started sleeping all night. Grandpa John
