A first...

Last week we had our first lemonade stand. Sophie planned it all out, drew the sign and helped me set it up in the driveway. Our 2 neighbor friends helped out as well, Spencer was an awesome salesman and Maddie was in charge of quality control (aka: taste tester) while Sophie was great at making sure everything was running smoothly (aka: her way). Nora was just happy to be there! I think the only customers were me, Brian, our landlord and our neighbors - oh, and the missionaries who were over for a bbq. At first Sophie was concerned because the "lemonade" was not yellow. I had to reassure that it was strawberry lemonade and still counts as a lemonade stand! It was so fun to watch the kids do something like this basically on their own - they are growing up!

From the taste tester herself upon seeing this: "And Sophie not let me have more lemon aide!" I guess there is never too much of a good thing.

Judging from the redness of Maddie's face she did a fine job on quality control! Sophie did a great job on the sign. What a great memory!!

Man Sophie looks SOOO GROWN UP! And by the way, she is SOOOO ready for Kindergarten. I thought she was ready when she lived in SLC. I think she'll adjust well. She is going to all day right? You'll have to let me know how it is. Here there is one school that we are possibly going to move in the area that has all day kindergarten, though the offer both. I think we will stick with half day even if we live there, but I am curious on the full day. Thanks for the recommendation, we might want to start ready that book now in prep for Camden. Though Tayson has hit the point that he thinks he can do anything he wants to. He says, even after I tell him not to do something, "I want to do what I want to Mom!" AHHH! Hope Miles is feeling better, if not, don't rule out another ear infection. We had MANY MANY ear infections with Camden. Even after he had one cured with amoxcillin, two 1/2 to 3 weeks later he had two new major ones. Hang in there, you're such an AWESOME mom!
