Have a lemonade stand of course! Nora wanted to have a lemonade stand so badly and I kept telling her she could when it stopped raining. When the rain lasted off and on for a few days I finally gave in and told her to just go ahead and have it. She and Miles were quite the team.
Miles would yell out "Wemonade for sale!" Anytime someone walked by. He was pretty cute and anyone who could pass him up doesn't have a heart.
Oh, look! Their first customer. Daddy bought some lemonade for a dollar since Nora didn't have 95 cents in change (smart girl).
More customers! They ended up making about $4.00 once all the neighbors stopped by. Thanks guys! There were 3 or 4 people who we didn't know that also stopped. Nora was quite thrilled.Sophie has been working to earn all the money to buy her doll next month for her birthday and she made a little bracelet out of beads. She asked if she could go see if the neighbors wanted to buy it for 1.00 and I told her no. I don't really want to encourage door to door sales or soon all my kids would be knocking every day trying to sell them stuff. When I told her no she tossed the bracelet on the kitchen table and said, "Well that was a waste of time." and walked out.

I certainly couldn't have passed them up! In fact I will buy some from here! Sophie is sure getting to be funnier -if that is possible! She needs to learn to sell things to grandma and grandpa. We are suckers for that kind of stuff. I would love a bracelet! I love when kids like to earn money. I have a little girl in our ward that passed out papers today asking if anyone needed weeds pulled! She is trying to earn money for the fair. Wonder how she would get here, I do have a few weeds!
