Spring is barely showing it's face here and we are loving it. The girls had their annual school carnival and we had a great time at it. We spent two hours walking the crowded, hot and stuffy halls of the school to stand in line for games and face painting and took home prizes that have broken already.... why do kids love that kind of stuff!? No, it really was fun (enough).

Sophie's friend Ellie walked home with us and then Sophie went to Ellie's for a sleepover.

A common scene in our backyard.

Wesley (with a messy face) in the saucer watching everyone.

Miles and Zach were dumping sand all over their heads and saying, "Pixie Dust! We can fly!"

Aren't these kids so lucky to have each other?

Miles' road rash owie. It healed up pretty quickly.

The three amigos (aka: Zach, Miles and Grant) doing what boys do best - playing in the mud!

The kids had a lemonade stand and Benny decided to help himself. I told the kids not to get their hopes up about making any money since our street is pretty quiet. The four oldest kids (and lemonade stand workers) each got $1.50 when all was said and done - thanks to generous neighbors - and Sophie made sure I ate my words :)

One of our neighbors has a micro-mini potbellied pig named Ernie. So cute! I thought Wesley and he sort of looked alike so I had to get a picture.

The kids all loved Ernie

Nora loves riding her bike to the lamp post and back! Today Miles was outside playing by himself and I went to check on him and found him like this:

He had pushed his bike up to the swing and climbed in and was just doing a little bird watching.

And I couldn't resist snapping this picture of Brian helping Miles say his bedtime prayers. His little voice is the most adorable thing to listen to and he has to
really focus to keep his eyes shut.
Love him!!

I love the pic of Miles saying prayers. At least he tries to keep his eyes closed!
Soo cute! All those pics! I can't believe how much bigger Zach looks. Poor Miles' forehead! That looks like it hurts! And little Benny?! What the? I can't believe that's really him reaching for the lemonade.
What great pictures. We are so excited to see you next week!
I hope spring sticks around so that we can see it :)
You guys have quite the li'l Heaven on Earth!!!
Love the pics!
Love the pictures! What great moments you have captured! I LOVE how Sophie made you eat your words, only because Tayson did the same to me last summer when he insisted on having his own little yard sale, but we live on a flag lot, meaning our house in down a little lane behind other houses and we have only 2 other houses next to ours, but he couldn't go out to the road because that wasn't safe I told him, so he still insisted doing it in our driveway down the lane and he waited and waited and asked me to make signs to put out by the road, etc and it was middle of the week (not even a yard sale day, etc). I kept trying to prep him that he might not sell anything and people only like to go to big yard sales with lots of stuff, not a little table with a few little toys and things. He finally decided he was done trying after 2 hours of patiently waiting and I told him maybe if we knew someone who was having a yard sale I could ask them if he could sell his few little things there someday and he was satisfied and went out to start cleaning up, then our neighbor drove by and apparently bought an old bank for $1.00 and some rags to clean his car for $.50. Tayson came in ECSTATIC!!! and kept telling me, "and you said it wouldn't work, see I TOLD you mom!!!" haha. Sorry long story. We miss you guys! You have such an beautiful family!

Sophie and Nora are getting so grown up! I can't wait to see you June! Seems so far away. Thanks for the pics! Love ya all!
