My funny valentines

We had a fun Valentine's day here today. The girls insisted I receive flowers (I did not put them up to it - promise!) We had heart shaped pancakes for breakfast and the kids got a little box of chocolates and a book from Brian and I. We went to church where Sophie ended up losing the treat her primary teacher gave her and went into complete hysterics over it and wrote the following note to Brian and I once we got home:
Funny, funny Sophie. She snapped out of it after Brian read her a few books on the couch. In fact she came down a few minutes ago and saw the picture of her note and said, "I don't feel that way anymore. I wrote that at the worst part of my day."
Oh, the drama.
Here's the kids by my flowers and chocolates. I'm a lucky, lucky mama. Brian gave me a Valentine's gift yesterday - he cleaned the house pretty much the entire day!! It meant so much because he usually studies for 1/2 of Saturdays so it was a big sacrifice of his time to help me. It was awesome and the best present I could have received... all in all we had a fun day with our sweet kids, I'm so thankful for my family and that we love to be together!

Oh, and Sophie found the card that Brian gave me today. It had a picture of Cupid on the front with a little "pfft" near his rear end, and on the inside it said, "Love is in the air". Sophie was cracking up over it for at least 2 hours. She couldn't believe Brian really chose it for me and is excited to tell her teacher about it at school on Wednesday. It was a pretty funny card!

That is hilarious! I love these stories you share about everyday life and how it all turns out. I sure miss you and enjoy our childhood memories that I think of as I watch my kids playing with their friends.

I love the pictures and the drama! Sure miss you all. I like Nora's idea about the apartment that will be empty soon. I wish life was that simple. Miss you, Grandpa John
