October highlights.

October was a good month!
Naunie and Grandpa came for a visit!

Sophie had Cross Country

The girls ran a 5k and did awesome. Sophie's time was over 27 minutes and Nora's just over 28.

A quick family picture while out taking the Schaefer family pictures.
Sullivan fell at the Schaefer's and hit their barstool right between the eyes. We took him in for his first stitches. Poor baby!

We spent lots of time at the park!

Sully started being a major daddy's boy. He was only happy if daddy was holding him and didn't want anyone else getting too close! Funny boy.
We had a Hogwarts Halloween!
Luna Lovegood
Nymphadora Tonks

Harry Potter
Draco Malfoy

Back to Nora's birthday!

For some reason I can't find my pictures from Nora's birthday. Which is pretty sad. However, she had a fantastic day! She wanted to be surprised this year so I decided to plan a day of activities she always wants to do, but doesn't usually get to do. First we went to the zoo! Our zoo is fabulous and it's free. Nora always wants to go to the gift shop, and I generally say no, so on her birthday I gave her some birthday money and let her spend as much as time in the gift shop as she wanted. Once we got home we had her friend Alivia over to do some crafts. After that the kids all watched a Care Bear movie (with minimal complaining) that Nora had picked out while I made her favorite dinner (zuchini soup in bread bowlsl) and decorated a Care Bear cake. Sadly, I guess I am missing all the pictures of the cake as well! After dinner Brian took her to Paint It Up, a pottery store where she got to choose a porcelain figure and paint it, then they glaze it and you come back for it in a few weeks.

Luckily, we have this picture Brian took at the pottery store.
It was a fun day celebrating our favorite 10 year old!

September happenings.

I love September! The weather is beautiful and we spend so much time playing outside. I watched the Roylance kids for a while during September. It was pretty crazy having two extra little ones around during the day and 5 extra kids after school. Luckily they all play so well together. The hardest part was that Ian and Sullivan are just a month apart and Ian was a very clingy baby.

Sweet and feisty Wesley turned 5! He was a little sad his birthday ended up being on a Sunday! But we had fun and partied on Saturday as well, so I think it was worth it.

Brian also has a September birthday! We are pretty blessed to have this awesome guy in our lives.

School is in session.

The kids went back to school on September 1st! They were all pretty excited.

Wesley is the only one riding the bus, because he goes to 4k for 1/2 day. He was so excited to get on the bus! The picture of him with the sign didn't turn out as well because the bus was coming down the street and he was too excited to move where I needed him to. But I love how it shows his excitement!

Last of Summer

The Ice Cream truck drives through our neighborhood fairly regularly in the warm months. I am always telling the kids no to buying an ice cream from the truck. So at the end of summer, I decided to say yes and they were so excited. Pretty fun ice cream choices!
The girls found a baby bird hopping around the yard so they decided to take care of him/her for a few days until he/she could fly. They had fun bringing food and watching over the little robin. Sullivan thought it was pretty amazing!
