Winter stuff

Wesley was pretty excited to make pancakes for dinner one night. He was quite proud. Whenever he asks me to play Lego's with him I find all the mini-figure pieces and assemble them all, it's an obsession. Of course, a week later they are all destroyed again.

The girls doing some Saturday bedroom cleaning. These two are such good friends! When they get home from school they often are quick to ask me where the other one is. It makes me so happy.

Wesley making his bed, Miles reading Harry Potter again. He has now read through them twice all on his own. I love the look on his face in this picture, he's very focused.

I can't remember why I took a picture of Sophie with her hot cocoa, but she sure is cute. She and Nora love playing Calico Critters together.

Sweet Sully playing with the Magnatiles and giving me snuggles on a day he was not feeling so good.
Sullivan only likes being silly in his high chair. And giving big cheesy grins!
Sunday afternoons get long in the winter, we like to play games or Brian often reads to the kids once he's home. I like how Sullivan is being silly on the desk in this picture.
Nora in one of her fabulous outfits and Sullivan at his 18 month check-up. He's a bit on the short side, but healthy and happy.

Sullivan really loves books and this HUG book is a favorite.
I love this boy.

Johnson visit!

The Johnson family moved from Canada to Iowa, just 4 1/2 hours away from us! We have been pretty excited to see them. When Timmy heard that we were doing a project they decided to come help us for a quick weekend trip.

We have missed these good friends! We had a lot of fun having them here. Saturday night Miles came downstairs and threw up (partially on their dog...) so that was no fun. Then both Wesley and I were sick the next day. But the Johnson's weren't going to go running away from us like I suggested, so they finished their visit and amazingly none of them got sick!

We love these guys! Next time we are going to their place so they can put us to work!
Brian and Timmy showing off the bathroom progress. Mudding and taping = done!

Fun stuff in January

Sophie's hair cut.
Puzzles are a great way to beat the winter blues.
Sully loved "helping" daddy work on the basement!
It was time for this baby to get a hair cut. I was a bit sad to see his wings go, but it was time. Snip, snip and his signature look was gone.

He looked pretty darn cute though!

Nora loved doing the splits on the Costco floor, it was very slippery.
More puzzles!
We found some boxing gloves at the thrift store and the boys have liked fighting with them. These two are constantly wrestling/hitting/play fighting. It gets tiresome for me, but generally it's all in fun!

Cute brothers.
One of many, many, many trips to Menard's during the basement re-do.
Naunie and Grandpa got the kids Magnatiles for Christmas. They are a lot of fun.

Here is Sully ready for prayers. He looks so chubby and cute!
Sweet Sophie
Brian got me a home phone for Christmas (I may have sent him the link as an idea for my gift...) It's nice to have a stationary phone. Sullivan threw away one of our portable phones and I wanted one in the kitchen that everyone always knew was there, especially for when we left Sophie to babysit.
I really love it!
Sully got the worst head bonk ever.

I was watching Jaxon and Ian Roylance on Wednesdays and Wesley loved being a helper. He often says, "Sully and Ian are the cutest babies in the world!"

Sully was watching Curious George perched on this bin and it was too cute.

Basketball games!
The other kids loved them too, mostly...
Funny Sullivan.
Ice skating on Winnequah pond.
Boys on dish duty.
