We had Miles blessed in our ward today. He did a great job and slept through the whole thing. I called my mom last Sunday to see how quickly she could make a blessing outfit for Miles to wear today. Luckily she's supermom and had it done in time to send with my friend Ashlee's parents who drove out here on Thursday/Friday (they live in the same town as my mom and john). Miles looked so handsome and Brian gave him a wonderful blessing. We have been practicing bearing our testimonies in Family Home Evening because Sophie really wanted to do it today. Once we were in church she got a little nervous about it. I told her she didn' t have to bear her testimony today and she kept saying, "But I want to!" She never did quite get the courage to go up to the stand but Nora decided she wanted to bear her testimony. She opened up her scriptures and walked right up to the stand and with some help from me she did a great job! She was quite proud of herself and skipped back to her seat and said, "I did it!" It was pretty cute. We missed our families today but are thankful to have good friends and a wonderful ward to share this special day with us! We are so grateful the Lord has blessed us with our sweet little boy!

Easter Sunday

Brian's sister Cathrine came for a week long visit. We had a lot of fun with her and spent a lot of time staying up too late and watching The Office (Seasons 1 & 2) after the kids went to bed. I felt bad because Brian was busy with school and I really don't do much except hang out with the kids and when we do anything it's with married people (of course) - so I'm sure she got a little bored, but we are definitely glad she came! She's a wonderful aunt and we can't wait to see her again in the summer! We love you Cat!

Weekend fun

We had a nice weekend and can tell that spring is definitely on the horizon! On Friday night Brian and I watched some episodes of the office Season One - we borrowed the DVD from the Woolf's (thanks guys) and we though it was pretty funny! On Saturday Brian took Sophie out on a daddy-daughter date to Horton Hears A Who. They had a great time together - Sophie packed a suitcase full of clothes and stuffed animals to take with her "just in case". Sadly the pictures I took of them would not download onto our computer :( Saturday and Sunday we had Stake Conference meetings and then got together with friends for dinner on Sunday. Miles turned one month old yesterday - it has really gone by fast! He is such a cute little guy, I am trying to figure out how to get him to sleep better/longer at night. He does pretty good but he'll sleep 4-5 hours in the day sometimes but hasn't slept longer than 3 at night. So I am checking some books out at the library - it's funny how even though I have 3 kids sometimes I still feel totally new at having a baby in the house! Each of them are so different you have to figure them out every time! We are excited for Spring and looking forward to a visit from Aunt Cathrine (Brian's younger sister) who is coming on Wednesday!! Hooray!

Brian's parents came out for a visit on March 6th and just went home this morning. We had a lot of fun having them stay with us! The girls loved playing games and dancing with grandma, and going out for ice cream with grandpa! It was really great to have them here all to ourselves. It definitely made us miss all of Brian's family and we can't wait to see them this summer! We also went out to eat a few times and showed them a little of what Michigan is like. I am so thankful they were able to come and spend time with us. They are so kind and too good to us! We love you and we miss you already! Thanks for everything!
