Beagley visit!

Our awesome friends the Beagley family came to see us at the end of July! It was really fun to have them here. We had a lot of fun having them here!

Catching fireflies!
Cabela's!

Of course we went to our zoo.

We went to Rossi's pizza place and arcade. The boys have been wanting to come here so bad, so they were especially excited.

We had some Sassy Cow ice cream.

We went to Hobby Lobby for fun and down the road to the beach/park on Lake Monona.

Of course we had to go to Ella's Deli!

We were so happy to have visitors! It's so fun to have friends come see us.

Summer softball.

Sophie played softball again and we loved watching her play. She had a great team and had fun playing.

My baby turns ONE.

On July 19th this little guy turned ONE! We celebrated by having friends over for cake, ice cream and a pinata. Sullivan has lots of people who love him so he had a pretty great time.

He didn't want his cake at all! If only I had made him a cake from watermelon he would have eaten the entire thing himself.

For his birthday he got bouncy balls, sippy cups and a sucker (what do you buy a kid who has four older siblings?!) He was pretty happy.

 Fun friends!

Summer Trip part 7: Homeward Bound

We left for home early on the 3rd of July. We didn't take the scenic route this time around, we were just trying to make good time! Luckily Sullivan did much better on the way home!

On the afternoon on the 4th of July John called and told us Sara had passed away. It was hard news. She had only received the cancer diagnosis 8 short weeks before. She left behind 5 kids under age 11 and a husband finishing his phD in Chemistry. What a trial. We are thankful we have complete trust and faith in God and know there is a plan and that they will be together again.
It was so nice to see our families, but it was nice to be home again as well.
