After the Phillips reunion we drove back to Preston to be with my family for a week. It had been way too long once again since we had all been together. My mom had so many fun things planned for the kids. The kids loved playing in the pool, sleeping outside in tents and hanging out together.
We had planned on staying through the 4th of July, but we received some
sad news from home that a good friend of ours, Sara Roylance who had
been battling pancreatic cancer for the last 8 weeks, wasn't expected to
make it through the next few days. It was hard to leave early, but Sara
and her husband John are our good friends and Brian is the Bishop of
our ward so we felt we needed to go home early.
