Date changed...

I was supposed to go with 3 of my neighbors/friends to watch a taping of the Oprah show today

-  but it got changed

... to yesterday!

It was such a blast having a day with the girls. We left at 6:45am and didn't get home until about midnight. Obviously I can't give any details about the show.... but we all had a great time together.
Kudos to our 4 husbands and our other neighbor & friend Angela (who wouldn't have been able to come because she has a 3 month old  baby and her husband is out of town). They all watched & shuffled all 9 kids around so we could go! SO. MUCH. FUN.

P.S. I did my first ever digital scrapbooking and made a new header for our blog. It was pretty fun!

Halloween Fun!

We had a busy and fun Halloween this year. Sophie was a Spartan Cheerleader, Nora was a witch and Miles was a pirate. We had dinner at our house with the folks in the neighborhood and then did a bit of trick-or-treating and then went to a party at a friends house for a bit. Earlier in the day I took the girls to a Disney Live performance (I had a friend here win some tickets on the radio - and she gave them to us!! Thanks again Natalie!) We had such a fun time, it was so fun to see the girls' eyes light up when the Disney characters were on the stage. A few other things pictured here: Sophie's school Halloween parade and carving pumpkins!

Big Boy Bed

Taking a Sunday nap...

It was my goal to have Miles in a toddler bed upstairs sharing the girls room by Thanksgiving..... and he's been in there all week - at naps and bedtime - with minimal problems. I am so excited because that means Brian and I can actually use our office where he used to sleep. Hooray!

But... it also means he is growing up too fast.

Announcement...

Where will you be on November 5th?? Because I am going to CHICAGO to watch a taping of the Oprah Show! When we first found out we were moving to Michigan the first thing I thought about was getting tickets to Oprah. I've been checking her website every day for the last month to see when the tickets would be available (it's all done through e-mail...) So when I saw they were accepting reservations for the month of November for two days only I registered for tickets and then told all my friends here to do the same (you can register for yourself and 3 others). Well, today I got an e-mail that said I had not been picked. Boo! BUT then my friend/neighbor came over and said she had been picked and had put me down as one of the other three. Happy Day!! I am getting more and more excited. So we are planning a girls trip to Chicago in just over a week and I can't wait!!

Where's the baby?

Miles is such a fun little guy. He is pretty good at playing by himself and I often have to go searching for him. He has no qualms about going down to the basement all by himself and finding something to do. It's pretty cute, but sometimes it scares me because he thinks it is funny to NOT answer me when I call his name. So I am often running up and down the stairs calling him and he's hiding in some corner of the house with a mischevious grin on his cute little face (as pictured above). Today I found him in our basement in the back corner of the office by a bookshelf - with all the lights off- just playing with two of his cars. He also loves books right now. We have a fish book that he is constantly bringing to me (or Brian) and saying "ish!!" and he won't be deterred until the book is read. So cute.
